Cleveland Clinic Manager-HVAC-Controls in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of assigned personnel and contributing input to decisions on proper equipment designs, installations and operating procedures for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) activities at CCAD.

Analyzes problems and determines work to be performed with regard to the BMS Control Systems

Establishes maintenance priorities based on workload and available manpower

Reviews inventory and initiates purchase requests as appropriate

Contributes input to decisions on HVAC and plumbing equipment design and installation

Ensures that equipment installation and construction meet contract specifications with regard to Building Control Systems

Provides input on HVAC and plumbing budgets for operation, contracts and capital equipment

Develops and initiates training and operating procedures for the HVAC and Building Control Systems (BMS)

Makes recommendations for preventative maintenance on new and existing equipment

Manages assigned maintenance and shop personnel

Delegates tasks issued from the Helpdesk

Oversees the HVAC and Plumbing maintenance schedules

Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years facilities or operations experience is required Knowledge of national fire protection codes Experience as a fully qualified tradesman or technician is required Knowledge of facility management and preventative maintenance best practices Knowledge of Building Management and Control Systems Essential is essential Proficient in the use of PCs, spreadsheets and other software applications Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to speak and write in English is required Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred Health care industry experience is preferred Managerial and/or supervisory experience is preferred


Apprentice trained or Bachelor"s degree in Facilities Management or Engineering, or related field, is required
